PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS



	PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBERS YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE NEXT HUMBOLDT SITE COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 6:00 P.M. IN THE SENIOR HIGH LIBRARY It is time once again to hold an election for both teaching and nonteaching staff for openings on Humboldt’s Site Council. Positions are also open for parents and community members. The term for commitment is two years. Anyone can make a nomination recommendation; however, you should know if the person you wish to nominate is eligible and willing to serve on the council. Twenty voting members make up the council, consisting of: 4 teaching staff, 2 other staff (EA, TA, custodial, cafeteria, or office staff), 1 senior high principal (appointed), 1 union representative (appointed), 8 parent members, 2 community members, and 2 student members. Elected positions currently ending are: 4 Teaching Staff 1 Alternate Teaching Staff 2 Other Staff 2 Alternate Other Staff 4 Parents 4 Alternate Parents 1 Community 1 Alternate Community Members with 2008 terms ending are: Teaching Staff: Bonnie Bellows, Aaron Perrine, Joe Laconic, Lauren Rekonen Marilyn Mauritz-Teaching Staff Alternate. Other Staff: Valerie Atkinson-Co-chair, Tim Hausker Jackie Lundgren & Derby Campo-Other Staff Alternates Parents: 4 Open Positions & 4 Open Alternate Positions Community: Jodi Brennen Positions continuing through 2009: Bev Babcock-Teaching Staff Alternate Parents: Jennifer Purtell-Parent Co-chair, Andy Mosca, Susanne Fields, Catherine Farrell Community: Kari Larson Elections for all open staff positions will be held the week of October 6. Newly elected members will be inducted at the October 13th meeting. Deadline for nomination is Friday, September 26. A tan colored nomination form is in all mailboxes today. Please email or write your nomination recommendation on the form and return to Valerie Atkinson’s mailbox or stop in the guidance office room 2268 if you have questions. Thank you.
