Humboldt JROTC Wins Academic Leadership Competition
A team of four Army JROTC cadets from Humboldt High School will be one of only 23 chosen to attend the second annual George C. Marshall Junior ROTC Leadership Symposium on the campuses of Virginia Military Institute and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., from October 12 through 14
Congratulations to
Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Todd Plote
Cadet Command Sergeant Major Hannah Ackerley
Cadet First Sergeant Nicole White
Cadet Master Sergeant Stephen Jones
They will be accompanied by
Sergeant First Class Douglas Hurd and his wife
All expenses are paid for cadets and chaperones (flight, food, lodging), which is a pretty cool deal. Our winning cadets (4 of 'em) will depart Wednesday, 10 October and return Sunday, 14 October. Their schedule is very full and they will meet and work with cadets from 23 other high schools from around the world, 96 cadets total. (in case you're wondering about the "around the world" comment, their are Army JROTC programs at US high schools overseas.) This is a great honor
