Humboldt programs featured at MSBA state conference!
Two programs from Humboldt Senior High were featured at the Minnesota School Boards Association's annual Leadership Conference, Thursday January 16, 2003 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The Product Development "H.A.W.K Company" and the JROTC were part of the conference Show and Tell Program, which highlights some of the states most unique and outstanding programs in education.
The H.A.W.K. Company was featured, which is a student-run company based on an entrepreneurship class where students are responsible for researching, designing, and developing a product for sales. Teachers that facilitate their experiences are Beverly Babcock, Rebecca Christopherson and Diane Schroepfer. Students who attended the conference and presented their company's products were Audra Holden, Joe Mitchell, Ashley Perkins, Emily Smock, Isaac Thomas, and Jennifer Tonn.
Humboldt's JROTC program focused on their work with junior achievement which is a program where students teach other students about business and business management. Sergeant Howard Worthy accompanied students, Jasmine Brennan, Nick Haley, and Jenny Harrington.
