| Mr. VanderHyde's Math Page |  | Mathematics is essential to success in today's society. New careers and vast opportunities are occurring everyday for those who can succeed in the field of mathematics. The purpose of this class is to help students build a foundation for math they may see in the future. Algebra is a building block for all other fields of mathematics.
Education is changing as well. Students today must pass at least three years of math classes as well as be proficient at standardized tests in order to graduate high school. Among other things, this class will prepare students for the MCA test (Minnesota's standardized test) and start them on the path for success in high school and beyond.
