Lisa Boehlke has taught English to students who have home languages other than English. After over thirty years in this subject, she loves the diversity of her day. She has a B.A. in Linguistics from Macalester College, M.A. in Second Languages and Cultures from the University of Minnesota, and Ph.D. coursework in Second Languages and Cultures from the University of Minnesota.
She lived in Jakarta, Indonesia and the Republic of Singapore from ages 10 to 18. Ms. Boehlke loves to travel and has visited countries on five continents. In her spare time, she listens to rhythm and blues or read history, geography, anthropology, or mysteries.
